Forums, publications and creator platforms grow when people take part. Quests show new members how, and badges recognise the regulars.

Quests that work

Say hello, for new members:

• Fill in your profile (profile.completed at least 1)
• Follow three topics (topic.followed at least 3)
• Write your first post or comment (post.created at least 1)

Helpful member: have five answers marked as helpful (answer.accepted at least 5). Reward: the Helper badge and a trusted-member perk.

Reader of the month, a monthly leaderboard: read at least ten articles to finish (article.read, counted). When the month ends, finishers are ranked by how many they read, and the top ones get a badge.

Award rules

• 5 points per post, at most 50 a day, so quality beats volume.
• 25 points for every accepted answer.

Why it fits

• Caps stop rewards from turning into spam.
• Perks map onto community privileges your platform already has, like posting links or moderating.
• Corrections take points back when a moderator removes a post.
