Gaming and entertainment

Missions, seasons and leaderboards around the games and shows people already love.

Players expect missions and seasons. Luk Quest gives your team a studio to run them, without building a quest system into every game.

Quests that work

Season missions, open for the season: play three different games (game.played, distinct values, at least 3), win a match (match.won at least 1) and reach level 10 (player.level, highest value, at least 10).

Weekend tournament, open from Friday to Sunday: win one match to qualify (match.won at least 1). When the window closes, finishers are ranked by their total match.score, and the top ten are paid.

Completionist: finish all three of this season's quests. Luk Quest reports every finished quest as the built-in quest.completed metric, so a task can wait for any quest you name.

Weekly leagues: a leaderboard on XP with seasons that repeat every week. Players are put into groups of 30 at the start of each week, ranked by their XP so far, and the top three of each group are paid when the week ends.

Award rules

  • XP for every match, more for a win.
  • Bonus XP for daily play, capped per day.

Why it fits

  • Leaderboards settle once when the window ends, with ties going to the earlier finisher.
  • Appearance conditions chain quests into storylines: finishing one quest unlocks the next.
  • Traits split audiences by region, platform or account level.
